This is a full-time on-site role for a Furniture Designer. The Furniture Designer will be responsible for designing and creating furniture for our various interior design projects. The day-to-day tasks will include collaborating with the internal creative and project management teams as well as working closely with furniture manufacturers and clients to ensure their needs and tastes are met.

Main responsibilities

• Development of structural drawings of unique furniture based on projects submitted by our creative department.
• Drawing details for the relevant furniture.
• Liaising with clients to discuss furniture.
• Liaising with furniture companies/manufacturers.
• Checking the drawings from the furniture factory and following the production of the furniture closely.

Requirements and qualifications

• A degree in “Interior design and furniture design”; “Woodworking and furniture production”; “Engineering Design” or other relevant specialty in the field of furniture design, construction and production.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in furniture design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of furniture construction and materials as well as modern production processes in furniture production.
• Previous experience of working in a furniture manufacturing company is an advantage.
• Experience in the construction of furniture from chipboard, MDF, solid wood, glass, metal, stone, etc.
• Ability to design furniture that is practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing
• Experience using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite; experience in the preparation of 3D furniture projects.
