We went deep into the mythology and Thracian cults to create an unusual project for a spa hotel with a balneological center. Where else but in Hisarya? And how if not with imagination and perfectionism?
The challenge to design, architecture, lifestyle, past and present is much greater and exceeds the demand for effective design. Our creative interpretation is inspired by the legend of the Termites – the three nymphs – patrons of the thermal waters in Hisarya.
We built the concept of the project as a dialogue between the fairytale world of legends and modern design possibilities.
The design of social zones unfolds gradually, as a retelling of myths. The experience begins at the entrance – with the theme of the forest, recreated with vertical green walls, branches descending from the ceiling – lighting fixtures, furniture with oval and irregular shapes.
The challenge to create a feeling of solitude and relaxation and an atmosphere of mystery in common areas, we solved with the inclusion of natural materials – stone, wood, green stems, which visually divide the space and create a feeling of “niches” or ” caves “.
The smooth diversion of perceptions to the topic of the healing power of water culminates in the spa and balneological center through a precise choice of lighting and materials, alternating dense and light, transparent volumes, spectacular cladding, and comfortable furniture for relaxation.
